Drive doesn't show up in disk management. Wouldn't it show up as unallocated space if it was there but not formatted?

Yeah that's a shame, I'd love to have a crack at modding my monitors with these. The monitors cost about the same as this DIY kit though, so I'm probably going to end up just waiting to get a good G-SYNC monitor.

Yup. Go to Device Manager -> Right-click on Disk drives and select Scan for hardware changes and see if the HDD shows up. If it does, it should also be visible under Disk Management.

Haha, yeah. Being excited all day when you hear your new cpu cooler is arriving today and then hearing it doesn't come isn't fun :/
believe me, there are worse things that could happen. i once ordered a steelseries sensei raw, it said it would arrive on a saturday. on that saturday the tracking site said that the package had been delivered to some guy (there was a name, can't remember which though) who had accepted that package in my place. even when googling i couldn't find anyone with that name. at the same time our phone was dead, so i used my neighbors phone to call the post office, the lady on the phone couldn't give me an explanation.
two days later the package arrived, i still have no idea who that person is, it's not the postman, i know that guy.

today was an awful day, my laptop died, so i looked around for a new one, found the lenovo g510 for 499 at amazon, now i'm back at home to order and it's up to 599. fml

Everytime I have a glimpse of happiness, or buy/plan on buying something nice for myself shit happens.
Not only has my Cooker broke, my Fridge Freezer has also broke. And to put the icing on the cake the top PCI-E x16 lane on my mobo has also stopped working.
All this happened yesterday, all within a few hours of each other....
I was planning on getting a H440 and a 550D.. not going to happen for a while now, FML.

That sucks man, are you sure your voltage from the plug is constant cause thats weird happening all at once, I'm guessing the voltage is rippling way too much.

Two things have happened to me and its not even the afternoon.
First thing is that I've run out of replacement ssds at work and we need three machines by this afternoon. Our shuttle pcs that the staff use have ssds by two manufacturers, Corsair and Kingston. The only machines that have had failures thus far are the corsair ones. Not impressed.
Second thing is that my new evga 650ti that I ordered for my steambox is utter garbage. Its artifcating heavily and is running hot so i'm going to send it back to scan and go buy a card that isn't made by idiots. I've had it with evga. Last time I buy from them ever. evga in my opinon should be called RMA. I had a buyer for my steambox as well and they're going to have to wait longer for it.

Not sure but the element in the Cooker is broke and parts of it have snapped, the last time I uised it was two days ago because I had take out Friday and Saturday. When I came to use it yesterday I noticed it hadn't pre-heated after 15mins and uppon looking I saw it was broke.
Not sure about the freezer, I might be able to get it fixed but the Cooker is definitely a gonna.
To be fair they are both 10 years old so time has taken it's toll, funny thing is though I bought them at the same time so it's weird that they both died together.
This kind of stuff happens to me all the time, whenever I have a glimmer of happiness or get something new shit happens to me. I swear to god I am cursed

Luckily my course has no January exams so I have an easy Christmas break, kinda sucks in summer though revising for almost 12 hours a day when it's so sunny outside :L

Yeah, my next few are in May so at least that's not actually summer yet. Will also be the last one's, I hope.
Not sure if I should pull an all-nighter to study or just take some rest and go to bed early. Either way, I need waaayyy more coffee for now

An all-nighter would be the worst thing you could do before an exam, get at least several hours of shut-eye if you can
