So some of you may know I bought a gaming mouse (this)that was heavily discounted on steam. I'm sad to say its not a hidden gem (like my plantronics headset is)

Its possessed, It occasionally thinks I'm clicking for no reason (I accidentally shot a friend in the leg in dayZ). Such a pile of utter w**k. Its a shame because it feels really nice and has good parts. I'll stick with it for a bit as its seems to have calmed down now I've plugged it into the front of my PC but still, AHHH.

So I am getting sick of the constantly dirty keyboard, its impossible to clean properly, I have a logitech G510 btw. So today I decided I wanted to rip it apart, do a proper cleaning and wrap the silver thing on the top with carbon fibre film to give it a fresh look, 4 hours and a massive headache later, I still had the same dirty keyboard and 3 extra screws, atleast it still works -.-

go mech

Soon, very soon :)

Went to look at the K60 today, holy cow 116eu for a plain mech keyboard, way too expensive for me to justify...

CM Storm Quickfire Rapid or Quick Fire TK

the corsair keyboards tend to be quite expensive, they do look different but i personally don't like to look

got a leopold fc200r with blues myself

Just got rejected by the one I've fancied for what? 2 years now?

So yeah... that kinda sucks...

Been there many times, give it time and you will wonder why you fancied them in the first place. I know it sucks man but the old saying plenty more fish in the sea thing is actually somewhat true. Keep your head up though matey :)

just got rejected for an Engineering placement, one i had to walk through a literal snow storm to get to on Tuesday, would have been an ideal job too.

It's very moist outside.

I agree, very moist. Got very wet getting to and from class.

Now my home version of SolidWorks is being a pain, saying my licence is invalid, -I need to urgently change a few thing before tomorrow to show to my supervisor.

Also my keyboard is starting to stick :(

Today hates me.

Upgrading a friends computer from stock cooling, hd6850 and a 30 quid psu to a h80i, 270x and rm650. Take off the amd stock cooler to find the 8120 cpu stuck to it -.- soaked it in acetone and heated it with a hairdryer with no success. Ordered a 6300 for him yesterday and it isn't getting here till 5. I feel pretty bad for him having to spend and extra 80 quid though the 8120 did suck anyway.

Now i've had the brilliant thought that the bios isn't going to be compatible (was panicing) so if it doesnt work then i'm going to have to beg a friend to borrow his phenom just to flash the new bios.

Remove the fan and place the cooler upside down on a frying pan CPU pins facing up and gently apply heat ;) it'll soon let go.

I had it silly hot with the hairdryer and it hasn't budged. I've got all the excess paste i can from round it and the alcohol still wont break it off :/. The new cpu is going to be here today anyway. Just annoyed me how it messed up so badly. Should have only taken an hour if that and its turned into 3 days :/

What about getting some proper TIM remover like the stuff Arctic do, and try dripping it in between them till it seeps further in, and try separating them then?

I've got none of that here and no decent pc shops nearby. Needed it done by tonight and it turns out the board needs a bios update as im just getting fans spinning/hard drive going as well as lights on the mobo but no display on either a 270x or 6850 :/ The only one of my friends who runs an amd cpu is busy and his dad doesnt have one either

Ahh fair dos, handy stuff to have around though for future reference :)

Edit:

just got rejected for an Engineering placement, one i had to walk through a literal snow storm to get to on Tuesday, would have been an ideal job too.

Been rejected from plenty of placements for physics recently. Got through to the final stage of two dream companies in December and missed out on them both :/ Done so much online testing and interviews recently, and still nothing :/

So my 280x had a nice OC of 1125mhz with a slight memory bump and increase in voltage that I let run on heaven for 6 hours, leading me to think it was stable. Well I was just playing some good ol' Rising storm only for it to artefact incredibly bad. I really hope that its just a one off, but for the time being I'm leaving it on stock,

So I decided I wanted to try Linux Mint 16 (Cinnamon), so I went ahead and downloaded it, created a live usb and just booted to it. It was extremely slow (which is normal for an USB 2.0 drive), but when I clicked install, Linux would trip out. It wouldn't show the window properly (no text and such), and then I got an error. Something with Failed, Idle and (0x0000c) or something.

So I then went ahead and downloaded Linux Mint 15 Cinnamon, installed it via Windows 7, and booted into Linux. Same problem, same error. I would click any application, Linux would freeze for about a minute, and then I'd get the error again.
So I went back to Windows, everything was messed up. I couldn't change the applications which were pinned to my taskbar, my default browser was Internet Explorer again (oh, the horror) and it was extremely slow. So now I've just done a fresh install on Win 7, and I'm currently installing 84 windows updates. Thanks Linux.
