Sis had a sip of my coconut water and didnt put the lid on. I shook the bottle and the contents covered my mouse, dac, monitor, usb hub, case, fans inside case. I was lucky nothing blew but it left a residue on the 900d wndoe that was mental hard to get off

Ahhh.... gotta love siblings
Glad nothing's broken though!

Passed my test a few weeks ago, had a peugeot 206 1.4, got insured the lot. Been fine since may. Got in it this morning to drive 20 miles to college and my temps start going nuts (fluctuating between 80 and 97 when it's normally bang on 88 constant) and a huge drop in power. Come home, me and dad have a look. Turns out the head gasket has gone -.- gotta take it in tomorrow. Car only cost 500 and it's looking like 300+ to fix it.

I've got to share my last weekend with you guys...

Bought my new rig Wednesday, my watercooling parts Thursday, had it all shipped to my work Friday. Took it home and started installing waterblocks on my GPUs (HD 7970s) Found out my GFX card wasn't reference design by breaking three components off it even though the cooling guide told me it did.. (!!!)

Ohwell 250£ right in the bin that night and I went to bed quite pissed, depressed, frustrated etc etc. Woke up next day, went to see a hardware store for a replacement 7970. Took it home - Decided not to watercool it. Threw another 2x 90£ away (The waterblocks). Went out for the night and woke up the next day to find a speeding fine in my mail - 250£ down the drain AGAIN.

Went out that afternoon to play a handball match. We lost..

I felt like smashing myself with a sledgehammer.

now that is one hell of a bad week!!

My turn, had one of them combi boilers fitted about a year ago yeah, all fine and dandy working like a charm, now in the last 5 months in thrown up various error codes and packed up on us, as we currently sit its throwing up a error of F.75, and we have no hot water in the house.

Called the guy who maintains the boiler. hes 100% sure its the pressure switch, cant be fixed till Monday :(

i had taken my rig apart for a small upgrade and decided to do a preinstall leaktest. good thing i did. one of the ek rotary fittings kicked the bucked and sprayed water all over my motherboard. canned air blasting it like a beast. the water got into the ram slots so im scared as heck.

Fill a bucket with some rice, put your motherboard in and shut the lid for a day or so. You could always try putting it in the oven with the rice, but I always am hesitant.

it must just be one of those weeks got home today to a pool of red coolant every where .it turned out to be my res had been leaking very slowly since the lan i went to on the weekend and because i hadnt been using my all sunday i took no notice .that was until i looked down to turn on the old girl and noticed it .i was lucky i didn,t throw old my old swiftech micro res butt still lost 2 enermax cluster fans ,1 of my enermax vegas appolish fans and another 2 nexus silent fans .also had to remove my 240mm rad aswell as i didn,t have any extra hose to run that aswell .i pulled the res apart and discovered it micro cracks the hole way round the top and bottom .butt after reading a few other post here i guess im the lucky one

that isn't really FML worthy though. what will be FML worthy is the moment when you realize that all of those mods screwed your game because you did one little mistake.

called it. that's why i gave up modding gta 4, it's so easy to screw everything.

So you guys may know I recently got a laptop and an ssd, and I'm not confident messing with laptops so when I was at scan I asked the technicians to see if I could get it fitted immediately as I needed the laptop for school, they said yes and I said I'd go when I had everything sorted. So today I went again, wasted 1 hour on the bus for the technician to tell me that I need to leave the laptop until tuesday to get it fitted and as I need it for monday I declined, now I tried taking it apart myself but I can't get the keyboard cover off :( Now I'll have to take it on monday and leave it until tuesday morning.

ps. fuck scan but I need them to fit this shit as it is still under warranty.
note: no the laptop doesn't have an hdd backdoor so it isn't as simple to install it myself, the bottom cover is a solid piece.

Today I took the cpu cooler of my pc and cleaned it only to realise I didn't have anymore thermal paste left. I also can't game on my old pc due to the graphics card having packed up on it ( the 210 in it currently isn't up to much at all).

what's so hard about putting an ssd in a laptop? unscrew one screw, open, take out HDD, put in ssd, close.

read the last bit of the post mate, you need to remove 11 screws, somehow unclip the plastic bit on top of the keyboard, remove the ribbons for the keyboard and the touchpad, and then have access to the hdd, I fear I am not able to install the ribbons back in -.-

oh i did that once with a netbook, the AC adapter was broken so we took the entire thing apart and soldered the cable directly to it. those little ribbons are annoying but it's not that hard to get them back in.
