Im with good old Dicey on this one. Maybe it's not exactly a factual statement saying that so many women are unfaithful compared to men, but it's really unnecessary to bring up all these personal comments.

That said, I think there's two sides to the story. In general, it seems like women have more choice when it comes men and many men seem to be overly thirsty, especially with all the dating and social apps we have these days. Since there's so many men willing to go for any women they can find, I believe it creates a mentality in women that they have so much choice that cheating becomes easy and perhaps even normal. Of course this is just based off personal experience and that of people I know, but surely there must be some truth in this.

So it's OK for old Dicey to come on here day in day out saying rude offensive things and no one is supposed to bat an eyelid? I'm not being funny, but some of his posts sound like a deranged Islamist. Like he wants to go off and join the Taliban.

He constantly slags off the UK (which gets tiring, given this is my homeland and wharts and all I still love it) and women, and anything else.

Sorry, I said before that he sounds like a misogynist and I stand by that 100%. You want to talk about getting f****d over by women? I could write a book on it. However, I know that not all women are the same, nor are men. It's partially my fault, because of the women I have chosen. I always pick the miserable ones thinking I can bring some happiness to their totally empty lives. Yet I fail, because what is broken stays broken and you can't fix it.

However, at the same time I know I am a handful. So I don't expect perfect because I am far from it.

Maybe he needs to take a look at himself.

Here's a good one, something for you to think about. My first wife ripped me from my family, my friends, my job and my career (and believe me I was doing very well). I went off to her country, only for her to show me to her friends for three years ("This is my English boyfriend yada yada ya") and then get bored of me and dump me in her cousin's basement for a month without speaking to me.

That marriage cost me everything. I gave up everything to be with her and left that country SOL and potless. I came home with nothing. Not a single thing apart from a single suitcase with some clothes in it.

So that means all women are evil and horrible and etc, right? no, no it doesn't.

Have you ever heard the phrase "Tarring people with the same brush"? well Dicey there wants to put away the overalls and paint pots because that is all he does.

I totally get what you're saying and I dont exactly agree with everything he's said about women in general. But he's at a point in life where he's single (presumably), has a decent income and job, a decent place to live, and just wants to live that free lifestyle without having to worry about relationships. From that perspective, I can see where his statements are coming from. Obviously, you're a bit older and wiser and have seen your fair share of hardships, so you can see that his generalizations might not be true. I still think you should be able to see things from his point of view and understand that it's not necessary to make personal judgements and insults about him. I dare say that if you lived his life, you might have similar opinions.

But the last piece is very correct, Unlike a lot of people out in the world I do not air my life story for all to see, Certain things should be kept schtum, In Fact if I did air it all several people here would probably say a resounding "Oh...", I have my reasons for my mindset and opinions.

As for me? listen, boy. When you get to 44 years old and you have been through what I have you just don't give a single F on that day. I couldn't give a crap what you think about me nor any one else.

Because this is a FML thread where we come to let steam off. This is also an off topic chat, with a subthread for serious discussion with again the subthread for FML. If you don't like it then don't visit this.

I know your new and we have interacted much so you don't know me, but don't take what I said to heart. It's a simple matter that you seem to have overlooked that I am just reminding you of.

On a side note don't let the easily offended get to you. I'd say just antagonize them because it's hilarious watching people fume but on this forum where it's a small community and Tom doesn't really let stuff like that go, just ignore it

Moderation kills forums, especially when people don't have the skill set to do it properly.

I've got a great magazine article on it somewhere I will scan it and put it up later, if I can find it. A forum needs moderators, but not the sort to shoot on sight as soon as there is a storm in a tea cup (see also - the entire moderation team that used to be here before).

Aye tis' true I've seen newbs reply to threads on "other" forums being honest and well spoken only to get instant ban hammers it's quite sad really, thankfully it's not the same for us we're all family here and our members get along and it's an inviting place to be. Yes we might have differences of opinion from time to time but there is respect here and it's a rare thing.

It truly is mate, my Nexus has been a trooper all these years but I'm not letting it go that easy

Going to get the screen replaced (cost me £25 to get one and I can fit it myself) and keep saving for a new phone, just gotta last me a couple more months and I'll be sorted thankfully.

What's weird though is that the glass on the front is fine, no cracks or anything, the glass popped out the frame killing the screen underneath instead

It's not necessarily RIP yet mate, got new screen on the way so with a bit of luck I can get it back up and running. Just pained me because it's happened so close to its retirement. I'm running a £5 "drug dealer" special at the moment

Well the other important thing is to make sure that we don't turn this thread toxic. It would be like feeding fuel on the fire which you can put out with "ignore" but the topic still burns on for everyone else.

Debates are good but only to some extent. Must admit though. Lately you are spreading some serious hate towards western life. Not sure why. I still think you mindset is dead set on the bad things, so it means that is mostly what you see.

I am 100% done with women!

The woman I was seeing who decided to start seeing someone else whilst we were still seeing each other keeps trying to get in touch with me, I have blocked her phone number, don't do facebook but she is sending messages off the internet to my phone, waiting to have my number changed.

As much as I really want to be with her, because she is the "ONE" I really cannot be bothered with her attitude towards relationships etc.


So decided to try my luck with 2 other women, both of which I arranged to go for a meal etc and both of them didn't turn up and I find out that they both decided to go on a "Date" with other men, and didn't think to even tell me that they had changed there minds.

So I am staying single, and not even bothering with women at all upside is no nagging, no worrying about cheated on etc and the best thing, no having to justify a pc or car upgrade just because I want one.
