Oh yeah... PayPal put me in the hole $450 by taking $650 out of my bank account for a refund on a payment of which I had funds in my PayPal account!!!!

Beware, if you accept an international payment in a currency other than your own be advised that if you let PayPal automatically convert it to your currency they will NOT let you issue a refund on a payment from your PayPal balance. In this instance they just thought it would be a great idea to suck it right from my bank account when I had the funds available sitting in my PayPal account.

So lets tally this up shall we? I get jacked $25 for the PayPal fees (they won't refund them since I automatically converted the money), I get hit with two overdraft fees on my bank account (because it was a refund of 2 payments) which are $35 a piece, and I don't have any money in my bank account for 3-4 days while PayPal deposits the money from my PayPal account in to my bank account. That's a $95 f*ck up, THANKS GAYPAL! EAT A

...and people look at me funny when I say that I don't take Paypal.

Paypal have over £400 of my money from a few years back. Something i'll never see again.

Paypal do suck,....but find me a better and cheaper way of transferring money to someone abroad and I'll use it :(

Western Union?

Cash sent via priority mail?

PayPal is quick and painless if all goes right. But in this instance, I got raped and I'm really not happy about it at all.

stopped using Paypal (and Ebay) earlier this year, I'm prolly about 500 quid out of pocket becuase of them and despite following ALL their procedures to the letter, still nothing... I will firebomb both of them one of these days...

Isn't it about time Google came up with something to bury these bas**rds once and for all

That would be nice - and if its google you can be sure that it would most likely be totally free and just supported by some kind of ads.

Wirelessly posted (LG Fusic: Opera/8.01 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/2.0.4719/1378; en; U; ssr))

i say we start a petition tn get google to start something up because were through being robbed blind by paypal.

They did me as well.

I sent a phone in good faith (only £80 but still!!) the buyer was dodgy so they took the money back oyt of my account.

So where the hells my £80...surely they didn't give it back to the dodgy buyer so they must still have it.

B*****ds must be ripping people off for millions.

www.paypalsucks.com doesn't seem to put people off using it though.

only substantial amount ive transfered through PP was to frag a while back, if that money went missing i would have gone mad

For eff sake, it`s about time this international currencies thing was knocked on the head imo. I don`t care if u called it a dollar, pound or a credit - just get a world currency - let effers use their own currency in their own countries if they like, but have it cost em prehaps.

The world is too small for all this these days.

ed at UK banks atm, primarily at the HSBC - who claim to be "The world`s local bank" - what a load of b**l***s. They (and to be fair all the UK banks, only HSBC boast the catchphrase strongly in their adverts) was to charge me £21 to transfer ANY amount of coinage from my UK account to my US account. Doesn`t matter if it`s £50 or £1000, the charge is the same. wtEf is that all about ? Doesn`t sound like a local world-bank to me ?!? Link me their forum, if they have one, and I`ll light it up just on that subject.

And yet I can use my UK cashcard in the US and be charged something like 0.02% - where`s the difference ?

eff sake.

Never used paypal, don`t really care too tbh. My sister does tho and gets on tremendously with it ala ebay, but then I don`t use ebay either. Not for any nasty reason to be truthful.
