Samsung Galaxy Tab Saga

Hello everyone.

If this post is in the wrong area then please feel free to move it to a new place! :-)

Anyway I have a problem here, I had brought a Samsung Galaxy Tab on Ebay for the so reason to help with video making purposes for a specific app, and it turned out when I received it, the device didn't support google store only Samsung Galaxy Apps oh balls I thought - the ebay listing was crap to say the least.

When I fired it up for the first time it took me straight to the home screen and nothing else.

So I decided that the only option here was to sell it on bearing in mind I paid £45 for this.

So the new buyer brought it from me. And a Day or two latter contacted me to say that they couldn't log onto their google account and they can on their other devices it said "Your user name and password do not match"

Which tells me that there is a google account of some sort still attached to this device and it's not mine!

They took it to a phone shop near me and the shop there confirmed that as it's an old device they can't do anything else with it.
So I gave the buyer their money back (At this point I got another Tablet a Samsung Galaxy Tab A - works fine!)

So for the crack I tried logging into the google account and I was greeted with the same problem. So at that stage - I'm raising a case with Paypal to get the money refunded so I hope it get this sorted.
Meanwhile the seller replied back to my message and is saying excuses.

So whats the deal here? Can anyone shed any light here please?
Cheers
Rob

Depends on the info the initial seller provided. If they stated that google play store had worked then you have grounds on a refund. If its worded in a way that its basically "sold as seen" then you may not have much luck.

He could argue it was the responsibility of the buyer to check.

Can't you factory reset it to get rid of the account on it? Or is Samsung like Apple in the sense that the device is locked to an account even after a factory reset unless you remove the device from the account?

Its the fact the google account is locked to the device of the ebay sellers or someone elses account is the issue here Factory reset doesn't get right of the problem here!

The Item notes from the ebay listing:
"Very good condition & works perfectly"

Me - I think not!
