Usual Haribo from Overclockers went down a treat!

Figured that I'd completely gut everything but the motherboard, CPU and PSU and start again, the cable management wasnt bad before but I knew the mess hidden at the back so got some velcro ties to sort that out :D

Noticed with the LED strip I had before the molex connector had started to become one with the PSU molex output...

:o Thankfully it wasnt too bad and no damage to the PSU cables. Really need to swap this PSU out for a nice new one though...

Once gutted figured I'd start with getting the Grid+ mounted on the backside of the mobo and wire up the fans, going from 5 or 7, 2 additional fans on the back of the radiator.

Can't believe how tiny this thing is!! Installation was a breeze thanks to the velcro pads included with the unit.

I the proceeded to get the fans installed on the front.

Always find the radiator screws quite tricky but the fans had quite wide holes which were a bit more forgiving!

Really like the style of these fans, they have nice rubber pads on them to stop any noise.

The GTX 1070

Got the card installed after dusting out the rest of the case and figured I'd give it a whirl to make sure it turned on and everything appeared to be functioning, was really impressed with the lighting and how it looks.11

(then noticed I'd missed 2 screws off the fans on the front for the radator and had to find those...)

I was tempted to buy new PCI-e cables that weren't quite so fugly but figured I'll just get a new PSU soon and get one with everything I need on it at a decent length!

I'll post another update tonight of it all setup at the desk :) Spent so long sorting it all out last night didn't get a chance to give it a proper test!

I'm almost certain I'll be CPU bound now but will see what Ryzen ends up being like before I update the CPU and move to DDR4!

I would suggest you turn the back exhaust fan around to be an intake, you currently run on 2 fans in, 3 exhaust fans, which is negative air pressure and will attract a ton of dust.

Ok dude I'll swap that over, thanks for the advice and explaining why

Cheers guys, looking forward to giving it a proper test tonight :D

No problem, would recommend you get a dust filter, you can find them quite easily and they not that expensive, but even so, shouldn't get super dusty with this.

Yeah I think I will. There was quite a bit of dust build up when I just did the current upgrade. The front is where the majority is coming in I believe as theres no filter there just large mesh holes. It unclips pretty easily though so I might nick a pair of the mrs tights and wrap that round the metal mesh :D
