them spanners, we had the as kids and my hands were in loads of pain from using them, you too eh lol? ok i splet the bicycle wrong, *spelt

As a kid, I do not think I ever had a bike that I did not put together my self. Later on, we all took our brakes off of the bikes. You were not cool if you had brakes on your bike.
 
I feel embarrassed for people when I see them buying these things, just dreadful.

What hunks of s*#t its even legal to sell some thing this un safe, I guess they will last until some one sues them.
 
Unfortunately I bought a cheap bike recently from Sports Direct. Had front & rear suspension, disk brakes and the make was Dunlop - all for £70, thought I had a bargain.

After carefully assembling I found that the wheels didn't seem true. Even though I spent hours on adjusting the calipers on the brakes, they wouldn't work well with the wheels. Then, somehow, the rear gear shift lever caught in the spokes of the wheel and went all the way around hitting the frame, it locked up and luckily I wasn't going too fast. Check this:



The frame was damaged so couldn't be fixed. At least they collected and refunded me...
