F14R – Fold one for Redline.
OK guys this is something I’ve been thinking about for a while…
When I first started folding, I found it quite frustrating that for my first 10 hard earned Work Units (WU) I only received a very small amount of points because they didn’t qualify for a Quick Return Bonus (QRB ). After you’ve crunched your first 10 WU – then you start to earn potentially big points because you’ve qualified for QRB.
So I started to think about how many folders may start and then give up because their initial scores are so small. Then they probably look at the leader board and think they’ll never achieve big scores and they give up. Also the occasional folders, who just want to pump out the odd WU here and there, have no way of climbing the leader board quickly.
If we had a push like Tom did a while ago, which attracted lots of new folders, each of those folders would have to go through the initial “frustration” of not scoring "big" for their first 10 WU’s. That is potentially alot of missed points for the team.
So I decided to create a new user for the team, F14R, which I have populated with 10 WU’s. This user can be, and I hope will be, used by anyone. You will earn QRB straight away and hopefully it will be fun to try and get this user on to the first page of the Redline leader board.

Hope this will encourage a few more people to get into folding, let’s see if we can rock that first page.
