EVOLUTION by PEXON Cable management/ few pics of progress

Its been too long since I've posted something here, I'm sorry! I've been starting the MAMMOTH and I mean it, task of getting the anodizing off...

I've spent about 7-8 hours to get the outside of the panels nearly done, I've not even started on the inside of them yet. The hard anodizing on them is very tough.

I've thought up of a neat and uncluttered way of mounting the SSD (s) and HDD (which will be done soon).

I will mount this bracket underneath the 5 1/4" drive bay.

Thanks dude, hopefully it will look uncluttered, I've got to think of a sneaky way of routing the cables.

Nothing much, just been thinking 'bout shrinkless sleeving and I love how much more sleeker and sexy it looks so I gave it a shot, I'm going to rip off all the shrink tube off the sleeving I've done so far an do it like this...

can you show us how ur manged to sleeve the cables without the shrink wrap. i know bitfenix uses some little metal compression rings or something of that nature, but how'd u do it at home??

regardless it looks really really good

I'll post some pics tomorrow night. Its simple, I just used a soldering iron tip to form/melt the sleeving around the terminal crimp.

Looking good man, removing that anodised finish looks like a joyous task.

Ive not seen anyone melt the sleeving on before, what material is that? I was going to go down the crimping route when I do mine but if you can do it with a soldering iron then I may be inclined abandon that idea.

Its quite a simple task really, I know its not the safest method, but how many Bit Fenix ir NZXT braided extensions cause a housefire, not many i reckin lol. Im just being over cautious like usual. Anyway, yea, the tip of a hot soldering iron or a lighter to melt the material, which is MDPC sleeving dude, and just form it round where youd normally shrink with tubing, whilst its hot, just squeeze it round and flatten it with your fingers to create a nice solid seal. I was dubious about how tough it was going to be but its fine.

I deffo agree. The MDPC sleeve is top dog too, its very tough stuff, better than anything Ive used that includes Pulse Modding and paracord. What PSU did you go for? Oh and stuff like this its all about trying and experimenting, if it doesnt work try something else as it will most likely be better and youll learn something new and improve your skills.

I've just recorded a little video clip on my phone its only 720p of how I do it, its not pretty really, but its out the way and it does the job, most importantly there is no chance of the sleeving becoming loose and slipping out of the terminal. I recorded it without sound because I'm shy lol. Shall I upload it to YouTube?
