EVGA 690

i was doing some reading on the 690 and found this EVGA's 690

the only difference is that the logo lights up different colors and i just thought it was interesting that EVGA didn't change anything but added LED control

Sounds like if you were to get the firmware off one of their cards and flash it on to your own you would get this functionality too.

I'd bet that NVIDIA tied the LED power system in to a part of the card which is controllable with some IC and the firmware EVGA are using has that control accessible and obviously adjustable. I doubt they have done any hardware modifications for this feature.
