There it is guys an EPUK 1st - 1st to 40k, shame there aren't any FM approved drivers for the 7900 series yet that score would drop us in teh top 14 in 03 :)

Read something interesting today:

To feel the benefit of massive core clocks, you need to push the memory as high as it can go - seems that above 900mhz core clock, if you aint running 1ghz memory, the bandwidth is a bottleneck and the scores do not improve.

More in the core for sure. But the smart way to overclock this is through the memory, the card's memory bandwidth starved 10MHz of Memory can easily raise points by 100.

Now I know how come its tough to overclock the memory, they're HOT! I used my normal way of insulating and taping over the memory modules and felt them through the insulation, pretty hot! Maybe I shjould first peel off the insulation.

Nice score Mav! :O

Congrats. :D

Is the bandwidth rule applicable to the x1900 series also? I found through my experience that the tighter timings using ATI Tool to clock the memory yeilded more benefits than the higher bandwidth and slacker timings when using Overclocker.

Thx Mav, but still limit by the cpu wich is able to suicide at 3.6ghz but completely unable to be stable even at 3.4ghz!

It's true that we are all suffering with the cold bug on the current FX60's - but when I was able to reduce the contact on this cpu so temps were plus 20 degrees under load I was able to run 3.2ghz @ 250Mhz HTT/FSB using 1.55v which means that it should be good for water cooled systems just not much better on phase.
