For a while i have wanted to make my own water-blocks, as i love little projects.
I have never water-cooled before, so I'm throwing myself into the deep end slightly.
Anyways, here is a plan of the CPU water-block I want to make.
The block is 55x55x5 (mm), with the pins 1 mm square by 3 mm deep. Each channel is 3 mm wide.
Each tooth has a surface area of 13 mm^2. There are 169 teeth (13^2) so that gives the teeth a total area of 2197 mm^2.
I don't have any experience with heat transfer and all that complicated stuff, so I'm learning as I go along.
This project is actually for a university portfolio, so hopefully the admissions people are interested in me
