im happy for you and still over the moon myself looking at arias website i can get alot for a £500 budget a nice i5 motherboard and ram + 660ti graphics card ill buy a new case along with it and hopefully an ssd then i have to transfer my windows 7 licence over to the new components

my q6600 pc ive had for over 5 years will go to my son i still have xp which will work on it

my current specs are

q6600cpu
p5n-d motherboard
2gb ddr2 ram
7900gtx graphics card my 9800gtx died
2tb storage total over 4hdds
the case is broke now front mic and power button + all usb ports are dead...
also my 26" samsung deid 6 months out of warrenty now only have a 22" lg which has served me very well over the years

WOW, that is great you won that. Being in the US and not knowing pound value without looking it up, I looked at the site to see what you might get for the 500, I didn't realize how great a chunk of change that is.

Tom and his sponsors have made some people very happy.

i will do josh i posted in arias page hoping our good friend rawz gives me some advice worse case is i wait a few weeks and save up for a case and ssd to go with the motherboard ram cpu and graphics card

Hey, no-ones trying to guilt trip you pal, Tom obviously chose you for a reason - I can relate to needing money for uni; believe me that 500 quid or however much you'll get for your rig will barely touch your bank account before being spent >.<

If I were you I'd get a laptop or something, saves you spending it on booze nights out ahahaha :lol:
