Custom build under $1000?!

If you're planning to OC your system, I'd definitely go for the NZXT Havik 140. It gives you more headroom for cooling potential and it doesn't have many restrictions with RAM clearance.

crossfire 6870 or single 570? ends up being a little cheaper for crossfire that's all

ocz/coolermaster/corsair powersupply? corsair is just a bit too costly.

Don't skimp on the psu it is the most vital yet most overlooked part of a system buy a corsair or seasonic.

i wouldn't bother sli'ing 2 cheaper cards its not really worth it price/perforance wise (man with very recent experience speaking)

I'd also go with the twin frozer card, I have 2 560ti's (buying a second was not worth the money i paid) 1 is a twin frozer and the other is asus direct cu. the twin frozer is clocked 50mhz faster on the core and is about 9-10c cooler. and looks better imo.

You could also consider a scythe mugen cooler it would help keep the price down. I have one of these and it is fairly quiet and keeps my CPU at a max of 46c over clocked to 4ghz (but it is an amd processor).

Its by antec so should be of decent build, and is 115amps on quad rails. is a bit of a beast and not exactly a good looking one at that but still will help you keep the price down
