cpuz info memory/multiplier/cpu speed/fsb jumping about up and down

memory 200mhz..300mhz..200 etc

multiplier x5..x9..x5 etc

cpu speed 1000mhz..2999mhz..1800mhz etc

whats going on?

Is it Amd or Intel?

If its intel its called EIST stepping where your Mobo is power saving by adjusting the CPU multiplier. You can disable it in the advanced bios feature under the EIST function.

That should sort it...

If its AMD then it should be the same principle but may be called a different thing. AMD isnt my thing soz pal, it's Intel all the way for me...

Hope this helps

that's odd if its intel speed stepping it should only alter cpu multiplier but he said it altered memory speeds too =/ or i may be wrong, just try to turn it off :D
