Couple of case questions

Hey guys, though I wasnt intending on starting my build for a few months, I found out last night the case i was going to base my build on (Zalman GT1000) has just been discontinued:( As I see it I have two options buy the zalman if i can find one now or look for another case in a few months. Now though the Zalman case's get some stick, I am yet to find a better built case, so if anyone can suggest one I'm open to ideas price generally isnt an issue, but nothing too big.

Really depends what you want to do with the case fella. The Zalman GT1000 is well built but it lacks features imho and its far too expensive. You can do alot better.....

Thanks, firstly i want a medium sized rig which i intend to Lan with maybe once in a while however its not going to be moved otherwise. The expense isn't an issue, what is is that I cant find another case built to the same level ie 5mm thick panneling zero plastic in other words built like a tank. If you have any other reccomendations please let me know

I would look at some of the mid tower Lian Li cases, they tend to be very well built, not too heavy and look great.

None of the Lians li's are even that thick, most are 1.2mm max.

The Cooler Master 840 has a thick alu front and top, so that might be worth a look.

A lot of the CoolerMaster cases are nice. I particularly love the C690 series for the awesome air flow that it provides. I've heard the Sniper and HAF are good too.

+1 for the CM ATCS 840

IMO the CM 690 has awful airflow i have 5 noctua FLX fans running at 12v and even the front fan can hardly push air through the HDD cage, the best fan is the bottom side and the rear thats it.
