so heres the back story ive only started pc gaming and building my own rig since last year, still alot to learn but getting there, this is the first time ive uncounted a problem im not sure of
i am having some cpu and motherboard cooling problems, ive never had any problems before with a geforce gtx 660 but today, i bought a new PSU a fractual r2 650w , and a new graphics card 3072MB ATI AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series (Gigabyte) so i could play battle field 4, it runs great nice and smooth but then i noticed my temperatures and started panicking im using speccy , and when playing the game my motherboard reaches 60 oC and my cpu 61-62 oC .
so are these ok temperatures, or should i be worried?
now if it was just the cpu i know i need a new heatsink the one i have is stock, maybe its time to buy something better, but my motherboard is also getting hot, are these two connected? if i get a better cpu cooling will this also cool my motherboard?
i currently have a fraxctual r4 case with 2 fans at the from, the ones that come with the case, a corsair on the side panel, and the second corsair as the exghast at the back, no mods or anything , so do i just need a better cooling system or is this a diffrent problem? any advice would be very appreciated

here is my spec and tempatures when idle

Those temps aren't too bad but your cpu could do with a bit better cooling than a stock fan so see what you like and fit it and amd graphics tend to be a little bit hotter it's normal, maybe think about a H100i which will also help get the warm air out of your case

Around 60 degrees is absolutely fine. Though as Excalibur said, get an aftermarket cooler for the CPU, because stock coolers are loud, unreliable, and cant cool very well.

A after market cooler is what you need really, with the stock your cooling the 6300 with the case air which is going to be warm indeed, the evo 212, NH-D14 air coolers or the Corsair H80/H75 AIO coolers would perform much much better for getting rid of that hot air ;).. air needs to be coming in through the front and out via the rear & roof. Side panel fans do very little to effectively cool your system.

Those temps are fine, most likely is that summer has raised the ambient temps in your house, so your PC comes come up with those... nothing to be worried about though, the 60s are fine for fx6300s... I've run mine at 72 max temp for the last year and all has been well :)

I think it might be heat coming from the Cpu area and spreading so with some better cooling that should dissipate
My 8320 doesn't cook my motherboard that badly and I'm sure that unless he's running daft volts it wouldn't be that bad. My motherboard barely gets any airflow and tops out at ~45c when ambient temperature is around 25-27c.
Mabe I'm just paranoid. I dunno D:.

-edit-which GPU and which case do you have OP? A '7900 series' doesn't help at all, sorry.

Yeah the Windforce, while excellent for keeping the GPU cooler than penguin p!ss, they just dump all the heat anywhere away from the card and in every direction. You could I suppose turn the side panel fan around so it's exhausting rather than a intake.. see if that makes any difference.

so i have decided to buy a after market heat sink instead of a cooling unit as i dont plan on overclocking i just want low temps, ive decided on two just not qute sure which the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO or the Be Quiet shadow rock 2

The good old 212 Evo, a tried and tested much loved cooler, can't say I know much of the Shadow Rock 2 but TTLs review of the Dark Rock 3 proved they have great cooling performance.

yeah my uncle runs a evo and he says its fantastic great price, etc the be quiet is the same price, but it comes with a 140 fan and its huge, it looks like a piston, and my best mate has one and says its great buy huge, the huge thing kinda makes me want it lol, . but if one had lower temps then the other thats obviously the one i would buy but im not sure if theres any comparison vids out there. also with the be quit i could "mod" it a little put a blue decepticon sticker on it and paint the tube caps blue i think it really look awsome

The motherboard doesn't have a heatsink on the VRMs, that's why the mobo temps are so high... been there, done that :P

To OP: be careful when overclocking cause those VRMs don't have much headroom temp wise, and temps will skyrocket with adding volts to the CPU

yeah not planning on overlocking, happy as things are , nt sure why i would overlock, as for now it runs things great, besides the high temps, i just hope buying the new heatsink, will bring evrything down,

Oh lawdy. That would explain it. My 'evo has huge heat sinks. Probably explains my temperatures being decent ^_^

well thought i would update bought my self a new heat sink the be quiet shadowrock 2 , and omg what a huge difference, my cpu is now between 8 and 20 at idle, my mobo 30 degrees, when playing bf4 for over two hours, the highest my cpu went was 35 degrees and my mobo 47....couldn't of asked for better results xD
