cheap x38 board(if you live in America)

.. the x38s have gone eol, but this is crazyeh! Open box, but even so.

oos stock too, was gonna get 2 on principle, even tho asus suck eggs.

EDIT: reps for the find btw. Chances are it was 1 returned item that they got working in-house, maybe stuff missing from box or whatever - bah. I`d seriously woulda got that.
 
well they mangaged to sell out within 90 mins,there again at that price i am not surprised.

@ham:if there is anything wrong with them i guess the rma dept at asus is gonna be busy soon
 
@Rast:thanks for the rep,and it was not just one board they had lying about either so far I know of 35 sold within 20 mins!!!

will be interesting to find out if Newegg honour the deal when you consider the standard price for that board is $350
 
hehe yeah. Too bad it was limited to 2 per person - although I bet people`s mom, dad, uncle and so on could get in on it very easily ;)
 
NewEgg always honors its posted prices... even if a mistake or loss to them... BUT, there are now STILL 20,000 of us "bargain appreciating nerds" watching every night when they post the new items... hoping... waiting... drooling... No, they won't have to close shop just because they lost a few thou$... on one gr8 board.

and newegg did honour the deal with a lot of people,I know of 10 people that got their boards!!
 
Did anyone order a Maximus Extreme in mid March when Amazon.co.uk had them on offer for £52 in their Marketplace? I placed an order but there was a 3 week delivery delay so figured they'd realise their mistake before despatch.

The cost of DDR3 at the time also put me off, so I honestly thought as there were only 12 available I'd leave them for others.

Did any of them get delivered at the price Amazon quoted?
