12900k, DDR5, Asus Rog Z690-F & Hero

Hey guys, I'm completely depressed and I need your help.
I started out with a Intel 12900k 3.2ghz, Rog Z690-F and
2x16gb of DDR5 g.skill, 6000mhz.
Right of the bat there was something wrong.
Bios couldn't boot on xmp1 or 2 and could only boot on auto,
which resulted in lowest ram settings, 2400mhz.
That got partially fixed with bios version 1003 and
both xmp1 and 2 now booted.
When I say partially, it's because
they only work if I slot the rams in dimm 2 and 4,
not in 1 and 3 as you usually would.
Still doesn't boot in those slots.
However, I would still get random bsod,
sometimes not even that but direct crash to reboot.
After a long talk with Asus,
I replaced the rams with corsair dominator, 5600mhz.
Same deal, random crashes and bsod.
So I replaced the Z690-F with a Hero board.
Still no dice, the system is still super unstable.
I've taken the whole system apart, cpu too
and I've installed the aio with (light pressure),
as I've read that, that can be sensitive too.
I'm completely lost and besides myself.
I've always built my systems and never had this much trouble.
What the hell do I do?
There's nothing left to replace, other than the cpu.
Is the cpu dead?

err first thing. when using 2 sticks of RAM, default position is actually 2 and 4. Not 1 and 3.

Default looks like this. So your revised position is now actually correct.

My next suggestion to test CPU stability would be to disable all overclocking on the CPU. Most Bios now have a bios switch which allows you to play with one BIOS and then have a second with more stable settings. If Z690 is anything like Z590, ASUS have enabled a few naughty settings that can push the CPU quite hard.

Personally I have 1 setting which OCs my CPU to 5.3 and then my second bios literally has all OC disabled.

Okay, I've played around with aida64.
Stress testing the cpu alone results in nothing,
runs fine at 100% at around 75c.
Stress testing the FPU, boots after about 20 seconds in.
Stress testing the cache, frezzes up the system, no error or boot.
Stress testing the ram, is also fine, runs fine at 100%.
