Sorry about the image quality!

I stripped the case of its HDD bays and cages as there was no desire for them, i guess it increased the airflow by a measurable amount.

The GTX 460 is terribly noisy so I'll be needing to replace the card or get a after market cooler on it, after all a GTX 460 is more than enough for me.

Also thinking of adding another 60GB SSD and decking the case out with some quality fans that actually match.

What a great build :)
I love such builds, which triumph over the budget constraint.
A little dubious about the PSU, but you'll get that quite a lot from people on here.

Also - where did you get a 2500k for £110?!

Did you get some parts second hand or something? Cheapest I could find a 2500k was £155 and cheapest I could find the P8Z68-V/GEN3 was £120

nice rig - considering it was only £500 i think you have done really well... i would replace the PSU as soon as possible though as OCZ psus like killing themselves. think the 2500k was probably second hand, they are quite cheap nowadays because of the people that went to ivy, i got my 2600k for £150

that's a pretty sweet little but capable rig. i like the colors on the power cables, even if it is ocz,

Does anyone know what the ZT psus are actually like? They seem to be expensive, and I've not heard anything specifically bad about those units

thanks for the kind words guys! some parts were bought second hand.

It was either the Corsair TX or the OCZ ZT and the OCZ seemed to have no serious doubts posted on the internet regarding its performance + it's fully modular.

I've owned 3 OCZ power supplies and they have never let me down, guess im just lucky!

like nearly everyone else has said, great work on building such a nice PC on this kinda budget. Makes me feel sad for all the people that spend £700+ on a laptop that isn't even half as good

Decided to spend a tad more on this computer and get it up to date with Asrock z77 extreme4 and some Corsair vengeance 8GB 1866 ram.

Couldn't get Saturday delivery on the 3570k and gtx 670 jetstream so gotta wait on them :(

Spent 4 hours getting the ssd mounted on the back, got all the cable management routed on the back so the side panel just slides back on now!

Very happy with the turnout :D

Just out of interest, if you are getting a 3570k does that mean the 2500k may appear in the fsaw section? :D :L

in the coming days yes, had a £50 amazon voucher given so it made the step to ivy bridge worth it

was going to do another lan build on the side with another 2500k/3570k but i just couldn't be arsed in the end.

Ah well I was not to sure wether to just go for the i3 2120 or spend double the money on a 3570k but if there is a 2500k for a reduced price I will be interedted :D
