Chasing Dreams

very sexy build mate.. really liking you theme...only got one question.. is the rad a bit tilted on the top side or is it just the picture that makes it look like that?

It's indeed a little tilted. Well spotted! :p
I did something wrong with the measurement of the upper holes in the radgrill and the front. They are just one or two millimeters to close to the middle. It causes the top fan not to be able to be screwed all the way flat to the radgrill.

I can't drill new holes cause there's just not enough space left to make them.
Only thing I could do is file a little of of the edges of the Corsair fans where it touches the upper radgrill screws. Still debating on trying it (and thus 'damaging' the fans) or not.

Ahhh.. it's nothing really important i think if it cant be noticed too much.. would be a shame to file the fans out.. maybe use some O-rings on the bottom screws to bring the rad slightly in would do the job?

With the front and the side panel on, you can't really notice.
Something else I found when I was just going over some possible solutions, is the following: weak steel. Or flimsy or whatever you want to call it. By cutting such a big shunk of steel out of the front, the weight of the rad and fans (and water) makes the remaining corners of the steel bend, whether I like it or not.

I made a video to explain. The steel already has a bend to it. When I push the rad towards the front, it straightens out. You can see it being flimsy.
-> flimsyness

Hmmm yes i can see what you mean.. maybe if the panel where the fans are mounted was welded onto the case that would strengthen the metal.. but anyway just suggestions here it still looks EPIC the way you did it :)

Hope all goes well

Yeah I'm sure there are some solutions out there... But I'm going to get on with the rest of the build, maybe later I'll adress this issue again :)

Meanwhile in modding land... I got my hands on a spare side panel :D let's see if a nice window can come of this:

Great build so far, cant wait to see more... You gonna mod the heatsinks on the mpower, the yellow looks a little outa place...

I'm gonna leave them the way they are for now, see how it turns out ^^ modding them would be 'a last touch' :p

I just came back from the hardware store, got some discount stuff, being the poor bugger that I am :D

And thanks to the grandpaps ! A jiggedy jiggedy jigsaw!

I'll sacrifice to the mod gods if this ends well...
