Changing oil in compressor?

Changing oil in a Danfoss NL11F?

Hi,

I should like to know if it is legal to change oil in a compressor?

Difficult or easy?

The compressor in a Mach II (without case) leaked ca. 1/2 dl oil, course it was placed on the side for one week.

its not illegal to change the oil just to charge it with refrigerant if you are unqualified

Is it possible for the oil to leak/escape without gas leaking?

Then I won't touch it.

I had the possiblity to buy another Mach II (without case) damm cheap, but the oil leaked and the gas also I can understand now. The compressor was tilted for one week when an oil leak was discovered.

I think the mach II (without case) will be around 40-45£.

But it has other problems. It starts right on when plugging in the powercable.

It was exposed to a shock in a thunderstorm, so I don't know if the controller's gone.

So all in all I think it has to be very cheap.

Yeah I would have bought it for that but then I can repair and gas them if you were in the uk it would have been worthwhile
