[Case Mod] Close Quarters

Thanks guys, i did not really think about it until now. It does look a little like oxidized copper. :)

I really like this and all the small details like the modded GPU.

And your Res looks really nice.

Not sure if I like the color though :)

Looks great man.. That mobo mod is giving me ideas..

Are you single and will you marry me ? lol j/k j/k

How hard was the bending of the pipes on the inside ?
Sorry, I have been married for 20 years. ;)

The bending is not that hard, it just takes some patience.

very nice !!! love the blue
Thanks bro, the pics are not really showing the true color. It is actually a shade of green. The paint I use is Krylon Jade.

 Thanks a lot. :D

I replaced the CPU block that I made with the replacement Alphacool sent me. The temps did not change a lot.

At 4.6 GHz I was only seeing a couple degree difference.
4.6 GHz 1.34 Volts. (this is the 4.6 overclock that you can set in the BIOS for the Maximus IV Gene Z/Gen 3 motherboard. The only thing I set manually was the memory timing.

Here is the 5 GHz test results.

I also put up a video showing the testing.

And a video of the CPU block replacement.

Awesome mod! Love the look of the 350D compact yet still a full member of the obsidian series. Keep up the good work looks awesome. Curious to how you bed copper pipes, I know how to do it with rigid acrylic, but copper.. :O
'subbed'

Still very much in love with this.

Another finishing touch I reckon would be epic is if the PSU grill would be copper... *wink wink* ;)

Thanks brother, bending the copper is not hard, it just takes some patience and good measuring.

That is an awsome idea Feronix. A copper PCU cover would be an easy addition.

Pretty sure you can screw the fan grill off fairly easily.

In Arctic Water, I think B_Negative used some sort of paint for a copper effect. I reckon that would work well :)

I was thinking more along the lines of actual pollished copper cover. The some stuff I use on the front panel.

I have been working on a PSU cover for my build. The cost of the copper is a bit high and I have a ton of acrylic laying around so I made a quick cover to see how it would look.

For the copper pipes, can you use any copper pipe with the correct measurements?
Btw amazing build, have been following ever since I joined the forum! :)
