Calling all Battlefield 2 players!

W00T! That's 10 people, should make for some good fun . Even if we aren't keen on the mod we could have a blast on BF2 and do some side missions!

I downloaded it last night, so I might just install BF2 and play it with 512Mb RAM :eyes:

Count me in once I format, reinstall, get a broadband connection and all the usual gubbins. Update will happen as and when to system.

Speaking to the guy about some of the issues you are having, yes you do nee3d to be trained on that vehicle to operate it (crewmans vest etc.) also unlike BF2 where one person could drive and fire the gun , with hthis you will need a driver and a gunner.

He also mentioned that you can set yourvisibility to maximum (may cause lag on some systems) and you should be able to see up to 1km away.

The Basra map is 4 times larger than any BF2 map and there is also a Helmand map under production atm just totry and reflect current ops.

I am sure you all do good housekeeping as well but he did remind me on the need to defrag regularly.

Basrah is a real bummer, i have to turn my settings to a mixture of med-low to paly it with a steady 50fps

Go buy a legal version, you can pick it up for £14 or £20 if you want the special forces pack as well.

my bad :O yeah my bf2 is totally legal it just doesnt connect to normal servers :O must be something wrong with the disk. would the mod work with such a /broken/ disk?

i played online and i can say its bloody awsome i got in tanks , you have to go in thrugh the hatch and the basra map is god damn larrgei it took me like 5 min to go trhough in a buggy
