Building a nice rig

i can, there is not much difference between 200 and 220 fps when gaming :p

aslong as fps stays above 60 then it atleast not to me doesnt matter if its 20fps lower than for someone using a conroe.

20% is different from 20fps :) And plus, even if it were just 20 frames, in benching that could make the record setting difference, lets not forget :)

I'm going Conroe for sure. I was looking at the 6400, but I've changed my mind, and am gonna spend the extra on an 6600. Considering that we still don't have an ETA on them yet here in Aust anyway :)

you will deffo want either a 6600 or 6700 as i have been told from a very reliable testing source that these are overclocking the best so good choice peevles to splash the extrra cash as it will be worth it ;)

cheers.

core duo is looking good but instead of buying one of there expensive ones the quad core is rumored to be release within a few weeks so it might be worth the wait

Kentsfield (Quad core) is for server/enterprise only afaik. Clovertown core for the desktop arena is slated for Q4 2006, but prolly a more realistic estimate would be Q1 2007. I may be wrong :)
