so is it possible? i would just buy a prebuilt but then i cant change the graphics card in them or whatever, or i can, just its alot harder than usual...

and yes i know laptops are not the best, but im on the move alot, so a tower just wouldnt be good enough, also after using the touch pad so long, i cant go back to a mouse, im just so used to the spacebar and mouse accessable from the same hand, so yeah, any advice on this?

You can't really build them...
Prebuilt ones like toshibas and vaios come with locked BIOS, so won't accept new processors, and also most will come with any GPU soldered onto the motherboard, so not a replaceable card.

Gaming laptops such as MSI and Alienwares do have changeable CPUs and GPUs (usually) because you can customise them when ordering. However, sorting out a cooling solution if you ever do want to change the GPU isn't easy.

You can buy barebone systems with just a motherboard in, and then put in your own CPU and GPU. But you'll still have the issue with cooling.

Shops like: http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/gaming-laptops/
sell barebone systems that you can configure with your choice of hardware... So basically, you can spec up whatever system you like, and normally it comes just a tad under what you'd pay for MSI or Alienware...

But...
You're better just getting an MSI one tbh.

That way you know it's come from a good brand. You will be able to change the graphics card in that - not easy to find however... But you can normally find 7970Ms going on ebay, so in the future you may be able to change - if yu can figure out a way to get cooling working.

You should contact the member on here 'Meaker'. He knows way more than myself about gaming laptops, and he does build/rebuild his own:

there are plenty of vendors that have dual gpu or high end gpu based laptops. dont expect to get decent battery life though when gaming.
just make sure you put in a ssd.
