BT/RF/2.4ghz?

I need some decent long range kb/mouse action.

I see mixed reviews for bluetooth - it drops out etc... What is the best tech? I need a good solid 10m range for everything from games/browsing.

It will replace my saitek/deathadder, just bought the MS lazer kb/m 6000 v2.0 but it sucks balls. I can bust a nut further than than the range on this thing. I'm sending it back.

I guess my budget is not limited...

I know this isn't an exciting topic but I'd appreciate some input.

Bluetooth looks good but mixed reviews are putting me off... Anyone?

From everything I've heard BT sucks. Also I'm not sure how true it is, but one BT receiver doesn't "receive all". So if you get a Microsoft BT Keyboard and a Saitek BT mouse (for example), you'll need two BT receivers...which can cause more problems.

Go with 2.4ghz imo. Should have reasonable range and 'penetration'

Go with 2.8ghz imo. Should have reasonable range and 'penetration'

I'd be getting a full set so the receiver won't be an issue.

The 2.4ghz is basically wiffy, and with any toy that has deep penetration; it eats up the batteries...

I've heard that keeping it in wide open spaces can help prevent premature battery drainage. Its as soon as you try to use it in tight spaces with lots of obstacles that the fun can end rather quickly.

Indeed, it's difficult to maintain a massive connection for extended periods of time. Eventually your signal strength will droop and its game over.

Ok, this is the one I ordered, it's supposed to be RF/2.4ghz...

Ebuyer has the 7000 for £50 ish which is BT...
