Hi everyone, the last part for my new build arrived today so i can finally begin. This will be only my 2nd ever build and will involve a full custom watercooling loop. After looking for parts since like October i can now begin the process of building it.

Got the water blocks on my 2 980Tis, also have the motherboard installed and am partly way through cable management, I will tackle my watercooling loop tomorrow and finish off the cable management.

I've never seen such an interesting blend of manufacturers in a rig before, Watercool, Aquacomputer, ASRock and EVGA but then Thermaltake, Phobya, Geil and XFX. It's all very different stuff rarely seen together, be good to see how it turns out.

The storage setup on that board is insane for a mainstream socket, should look amazing with the blocks.

Before you house any of this lovely gear I think a new case is in order, The Chaser MK1 is archaic ^_^
Just because a case is a few years old does not mean that it is fit for its purpose as a case. It has the 2 200mm fans in the roof for the radiator that i am using, enough 5 1/4 bays for dvd/blu ray drives as well as the fan controler and the card reader. I will also in the future be doing a custom window using the rear pannel and move the normal front pannel to the back.

Thanks for the rest of the comments everyone, took me a bit of time but i have finally finished most of the cable management. My XFX power supply is still in use in my current rig so i wion't be installing it until the new rig is finished.

With 2 x 200mm fans in the top I hope you have some effective dust filters in the front and other places. It's going to be a dust storm inside the chassis lol.

Ok, got my watercooling loop installed, still need to finish wiring up the pump and finish cable management. i will be getting my coolant tomorrow so that i can begin leak testing with a different power supply. I also need to do some modflerx extentions for the gpu to make it look cleaner I was going to just reuse the connectors from some NZXT extentions i had but after trying for 20 mins trying to get the connectors off i will probably just wait until they are in stock at OCUK and buy some.

Got some water for coolant today, however found during leak test that one of my revolvable fittings had a leak. My drainage valve worked a treat so i was able to easily drain the loop. Have ordered some new fittings from Scan, they are 2x as expensive as watercooling or aqua tuning however will get them on Wednesday instead of having to wait until Friday or even next week for them.

This is the only part of watercooling I am not looking forward to with my build in a few weeks, The leaks :(

Oh no what have you done!

The hose wrap completely ruins it for me to be completely honest :(

Look at it from a different point of view, It matches the cables :)

Yeah for me to, there is to much of it.

Id remove most but keep the cpu to reservoir one on there, but make sure the rings are evenly spread across the tube so it looks better.

Nice themed build otherwise.

TBH I was expecting actual copper piping :P

Also, don't u find the poor colour matching of the plastics, on the Chaser Mk1, bothering ?

I had a Chaser Mk1 prior to my current case and it drove me nuts. The black plastic panels were more a super dark grey and the black metal side doors were actually black. Not to mention the front bay covers have blue accents, not exactly in keeping with ur theme.

Still, a copper theme is a nice touch, not many of them around from what iv seen. Though, again, they usually use actual copper pipes.

I must say though, despite some missed improvements form my point of view, that build is looking very mature, not using crazy bright colours, just smart.

Ok I have removed the anti kinck coils and i do agree that it looks better without them, I had the coils on the tubing before installing the tubing. The reason why i had themn is because i had installed uv cold cathodes so the coils would have shown up when the cathodes were turned on. As for the asthetics of the case itself the plastics are definately more black then a dark grey so there is not much differentce between the side pannels and the plastics. I was thinking to perhaps get some of those shinobi nesh strips to fit on the top casing in place of the current blue stripes, as for the front, the front bays are all occupied. The feet i can just paint over if i really wanted to loosde the blue entirely. As to why i didn't use copper pipes, i didnt want to attempt a hard tubing build as my first attempt at water cooling and also i didnt want to overdo the copper given that the fittings and blocks themselves are already copper.

The fitting that leaked was the one goiing into the graphics bridge so at least it should be easy for me to swap out.

ok so as well as the replacement 90 bend, i also got some 40 elbows as i was not happy with the way some of the tubing bends were, now that i have all the fittings in i am currently leak testing been about 3 hours so far, had to tighten a few of my revolvable adapters that had become slightly unscrewn but other then that it looks like i am ready for transfering the power supply from my old rig and getting windows installed.
