Bit of a game.. What car is this?

fuzion blah,i think the best i have owned so far is Coustic (practicly MTX) that shizz was crazy and i only got a basic package, that *equipment is awfully* expensive

MTX? lmao. And yeah, Fuzion is cack too.

MTX fall into the same category as Kicker and others (inc Audiobahn).

I had a pair of Solobaric XPL series 12s. For about a week.

As soon as you cranked on the volume controls the warm soft bass turned to a punch in the back. Utterly awful.

Mind you having said that I have insane levels of critical listening skills. In the end I piped for a 18" MachV sub.

If you want decent gear you want Orion, Phoenix gold (amps only, their speakers are crap) Image Dyanmics, Fujitsu Ten (AKA Eclipse Audio in the USA) Cerwin Vega (Stroker series) and *some* of RF's stuff (IE all the made in USA stuff and stay away from the mass produced garbage).

Here we go. Just did a bit of digging

Here's a build I did years back and the first that went into my Tiburon.

Note the kicker amp?

That lasted about a week. This was the finished install. I ended up adding another solobaric before coming to the conclusion they were hyped up crap.

Now look at this one, note the lack of a Kicker?

That's because it lasted about two weeks before it smoked. Utter garbage.

My next toy was this.

I had the Phoenix gold ZX200 up top running the sub, and that thing there ^ running the rest of the car. That amp there? legend. Phoenix gold MPS2220. AKA the 'cheater' amp. See, in pro competition in certain classes you were only allowed to use amps of a certain wattage. That one there was 20w a channel. However with a cap and switch mod it could do 1/4 of an ohm. Meaning you could literally run an entire car from it

24k plated boards too

MTX and JL are quite good, most chavs use alpine and JBL

man i love to feel bass not hear it the punchyer the better.

yes orion amps are sick they just look awful.

gotta love rockford fosgate what a pile of expensive tosh that was.

if i was in compos i guess i would use orion, focal and lanzar etc,but MTX,jl of the likes ruin most street chavs, you do get what you pay for tho as with most things the build quality on the coustic amos was insane and the 6.5's were solid major magnets lol.

god i love a good car audio setup

JL sound lovely. Sadly that's where it ends. I don't know about their newer subs but the older W6 were absolutely terrible. Built like crap and used to blow all the time. They did sound nice tho, warm.. But they just didn't last. Poor quality rubber surrounds that would rot, steel baskets ETC.

RF are like any other company now. They just don't make things themselves any more it's all mass produced in Taiwan. That's the problem.
