Got a reply on the EA forums by someone who has access to why people were banned etc and he came back with this;

PB didn't go crazy Violation

A fairly widespread hack just had its asrse handed to it.

Cheat/Hack Violations:

When PunkBuster detects a cheat or hack by repeated positive identification on a player's computer, a violation is raised. These violation numbers are 50000 and higher. Families of cheats are listed below. Resolution: Remove cheats and hacks from the computer.

#50000s - Aimbot

#60000s - Wallhack

#70000s - Multihack

#80000s - Gamehack

#90000s - 'Cheat' Video Drivers

#100000s - Speedhack

#110000s - Autofire

#120000s - Game Hook

#130000s - Attempted PunkBuster Hac

This is becoming beyond a joke, I have never hacked :nono:

so in the link you were given it doesnt tell you why you were banned ? your name shows up like 5 times over there

There is only 1 name that was banned and it is not on that screenshot. I'm not going to post all the info here tho, will leave that to hyper if he wants to.

But it deffinately is hypers account and it deffinately is a American IP and the person had a clantag on at the time.

Im having the exact same problem, i never god damn cheated in my life.

I already submitted a support ticket to punkbuster, if it doesnt work i swear to god im starting an internet revolution!!

I have bought this game in 25-06-2005 and i have the

receipt here!! I have never cheated!!

Im using Windows Vista, could that be the problem?

Just got this shocking reply on www.punkbusted.com

Global guid bans are controlled by EvenBalance. You could also have run your guid in our MBL search on our main website page on the left. You would see that this cd-key is a leaked and that is banned. It has been in the wild sinse at least 2005.

It is used in several countries. There is nothing you can do once a cd-key has been leaked but to check your comp security or who you may have shared it with or where you bought it. eBay = bad. But after almost two years there is not much I'm sure you remember.

I'm guessing someone is stealing people's CDKeys somehow as the IP's are from the US

But as of that message, because it has been 'leaked', they probably won't do anything about it.

Note #2: The GUID you supplied was logged using a cheat that tried to prevent

detection by PB. The method used is considered by us to interfere with

the way PB is designed to work, therefore violating our EULA.

If you were not cheating, then someone was either using your computer

or your CD key and was caught.

Either way, your GUID was used to try to hack on PB servers and it is

now permanently banned. You may still play on non-PB servers as our

bans only apply to servers with PunkBuster enabled.

We must put this on digg or somewhere else where a lot of people can see this!!

Nah paperless has a different GUID and different violation number etc.

The American IP is different aswell.
