Planning on painting it again then are you?
Try and remember there are people here that actually understand how things work and the effects when you do.
Your blatant inexperience is quite comical, dont try to to be something you are not dude because there are plenty of people here that can see through it.
Like the 480 in the bottom, you say you made it fit, you either bodged it or relocated the PSU. you dont do that then "just use a 360 in the roof"
Start posting some pictures and a proper build log because Im starting to hear dreams and wishes more than actions. That really doesnt go down well here, facts are all we wanna hear when you say "I have done"
Not to be rude, but I would prefer constructive criticism rather than being called a liar. Here's what I have done so far. I've removed the bottom drive cage, and I've cut a space for the PSU to lay vertically. It looks like trash now, but I am going to be making a new mid-plate for the case, so you won't even see the cuts or power supply.
A wider shot, showing the HDD cage removed. I know the midplate is sagging, it's just because I didn't mount it back in place (rivet or nut & bolt) yet.
And a bit more close up on where the PSU will go. Obviously this is just a test fit PSU, and the cuts are rough. It's all gonna get smoothed down, and it will all be covered up anyways.
And the reason I haven't made a proper build log is because all I have is my phone. I am a video guy, not a picture guy. And I've found that people on here don't like watching a build video. Plus I'm afraid to be attacked by trolls and such, as always seems to be the case unfortunately :/
I have some video of me cutting the case, so let me know if you want me to edit that up or not... it's no big deal if it's something people want to see, but it's a waste of time if nobody cares.
what motherboard has enough sata6 ports for that buddy. that would be a beastly amount of storage cap. also see the cuda stuff i dont have much experience but when i rendered with gpu acceleration on my 670s the video was a little fuzzier than just the 3930k. it that normal or were my settings not right. sorry for the half hijack but it seems relevant. is it that the 6/7 series cuda was crippled in comparison to the 5s and this is the result or am i wrong. sorry again bud.
sata6 for what? I'm only gonna have 2 SSDs... The rest will be HDDs run off of some RAID card... I'll decide the model later.
I've never had the luxury of GPU accelleration before, so I couldn't tell you. But I'm sure the blurry output was some settings error... Professionals (like real, million dollar professionals) use GPU acceleration, and I really doubt they would sacrifice quality. I think the 6 series was crippled from the memory bus. So yeah, a 770 and below would still be crippled. But the 780 has a wider bus now, so it should keep up pretty well.
I would honestly prefer an R9 290X (I root for AMD when ever I can), but I'm afraid to drop $1400USD on two of them, and then find that a bunch of programs don't support AMD cards. CUDA just seems to be a more widely accepted solution.
