Asus mobo / 775 install problems

Just dug out my old Mach 11 gt and recieved a 775 kit from Phil:D , im building up the motherboard / kit and have a possible problem. Last time i used the prommie was with a socket A kit which had a plastic back plate, the new 775 kit has an aluminium backplate. When i line up the back on the motherboard theres a few componant legs sticking up right where the backplate sits. I'm worried that when the kit is all bolted together the aluminium backplate will touch / short these componants out. i realise that the sealstring is in between the backplate and motherboard but it looks to close for comfort once the kit is screwed together. The motherboard is a Asus P5B deluxe wifi ap, i already had to dremel the plastic top plate slightly to get the screw holes to line up correctly. on a positive note the prommie has been tucked away for at least 2 years but she fired up straight away when i tested her:)

hmm I wouldn't be happy with using a metal back plate in your case - is there any way you can dremel it? Using seal string is perfectly okay too providing you are certain it doesnt touch. These plates were designed to offer more durability than the plastic ones, and they work well in that respect - but they based them on the reference design, and obviously some motherboards have been designed differently.
