Asus EEE PC 901 - £2.50 BARGAIN!

Well, it is that time of month again where I get an absolute bargain

. I just purchased an Asus EEE PC 901 for £2.50, yep that's right! The problem is it isn't starting up, and I've tested it and it's something on the mobo... So I am currently getting a mobo for £3.74 (lol) for it

.

Not a bad bargain if you ask me

... got charger and some other stuff also!

Only problem is.... it's in pink lmao

Nice find, can I ask where you are sourcing the mobo, I have an eeepc 701 sitting around that needs a new one, if they're that cheap I'll give it a try.

yeah thats a nice bargin! yeah where u gettin the parts ive got a 900 here sittin with a broken left click (would need a new trackpad thing) not a massive issue but having it working would be good!

Well... it took me a little while to fix it, but I managed to get it booting up. The only problem is, now the screen is broken! I guess this is the reason it was soo cheap lol, so now it's another screen to be purchased!

Took me ages to get it to power up, nothing was happening, I had to ground/earth the board and replace the fan (which was given with new mobo thank god) and it works fine! Windows boots up but I can only see 1/4 of the screen. Like this:

New screen? Or is this something stupid?
