AsRock motherboards

I've had a keen eye on AsRock boards for some time now. I've read mixed reviews about them and as normal, a lot of praise and a lot of doubt.
But more so in regard to their questionable support division.

Any of you guys got any experience with them?

Ive got a Z77 extreme 6 that ive had no problems with, overclocking was fine, all the features I wanted and decent price so cant complain.

I believe a lot of the negativity about their products is based on past performance as they used to be pretty awful but have improved considerably since then.

Yeah, the consensus seems to be that they have come from bad to good, getting better. Aside from their in your face marketing tactics I can't see faults with their boards now. They have all the essentials and more, at a nice price. Except the X79 Extreme11. MSRP $600! Lol

Is the brown copper tracing really visible on the PCB or just in certain light? Aesthetics alone wouldn't be enough to turn me off a board but brown is odd.

Yeah the brown depends on the light. In direct sunlight it is obvious but inside a case in shadow it looks black, unless you have some extreme white lighting anyway.

That's good to hear. I just feared buying one and feeling awful sorry for myself hating the brown on the PCB. Other than that they're pretty sweet looking boards. Performance I will have to find out for myself I suppose :)

I have a z77 extreme 4 which is great apart from a tiny v-core issue at 1.165v.
indeed they r getting better but I see they suffer the same issue as they did few years ago.

Should be getting a board in a week or two so I will know for sure then! Fingers crossed there is no issues, first time buying an AsRock product.

i used one in my old x58 system and i had no problems at all !!! my x58so died so i decided to try asrock and i didn't regret it !! as for their new boards i've seen quite good reviews on the net !! i was going to buy one but i decided not to because i wanted to try something else !!

I have built 2 Systems with Asrock mobos for freinds, both with i5 2500ks.

Not a single issue till now, running for about 1.5 years and everythings fine.
