Right I'm having serious issues here. I'm trying to instal a chilly1 extreme phase change unit and the threads that go through from the back plate to the top are too short, they need to be at least another cm longer.

At first I though there was too much foam in the way so I cut it but that isn't it and now I don't have enough foam :(

Has anyone else had these problems?

The screws supplied with the unit should be long enough to go through a standard mach2 back plate and the chilly1 mounting kit if not then get down to B&Q in the morning and get some more screws I have used the same screws to mount on my mobo ???

If they are too short dont try a forced install as something will break do not install the unit with no backplate

Do you know where I might be able to get some insulating foam stuff from?

OK you can get it from plumbing or air conditioning shops you need 1 1/2 ID armaflex or pipe insulation or pm me your addy I got a spare one here I'll post it out to you :)

Excellent thanks fatty ygpm. Out of interest how long were your threads that you got with the unit?

Sorry about my posts last night - I was really frustrated lol.

Hmm well I got the same, I'm using it on A64. In the guide on XS he has some much longer screws.

Yeah he didnt supply enough screws lol just go down the hardware shop £1 for some 4 x 75mm should be fine I will try post the armaflex and insulation out today first class ok
