Aquaero Owners Club

Yessir, but they're cheap (less than $10CDN for me). Even newer motherboard with temp sensor on board, like my CH6 Hero, can't utilize that sensor for PWM curves, which really sucks. So we're left with solutions like the Aquero.

I'm leaning towards getting some proper PWM splitters and leaving it at that.

Thanks for all your help people :)

I paid less than $20 each for Phobya powered splitters (8 fans each), they work quite well IMO. They seem to respond to PWM properly for me. Aquero is a great option if you want to bind fan curves to liquid temps, but an awfully expensive solution.

That is why I went with their Poweradjust and a Splitty. Cost me £40 or so? well then I did buy the heatsink for £8 but that was my choice.. It will be fine for me. TBH? everything in water cooling is either 12v or 7v depending on how hard you are running the rig. You can pay to "unlock" it to auto but I don't even need that feature tbh.

Going to make a cool case/plate for the two things.

Yup, bit of a liberty to call them PWM hubs then not control them with PWM:huh:

Will the Splitty9 or Swiftech hubs work with PWM properly?

I can say with 100% certainty that the swiftech hub plug into 6XT has full PWM control. Since that is how I use it right now.

2 hubs each controlling 8 pwm fans. Each hub on their own channel. 2 pumps on one channel and chassis fans on their own.

Thanks for the info :)

If I used the Swiftech hubs straight from a motherboard header that is PWM I'll get the same desired result won't I?

Isn't the Swiftech a powered hub like my Phobya ones? No worries about overloading those.

yeah quick brainfart. Envisioned he was gonna use 3pin fans. but for pwm its fine.

Yeah just checked it and there's only a PWM and RPM wire from the header with the Swiftech splitter, all power is supplied from the PSU.

Annoyingly I can't find them available in the UK :(

you guys know if this is a good replacement -

I bought mine direct from Swiftech USA site. delivered quickly too.

Nope, total cost was under 350kr so free import fee.

Well... Apparently Royal Mail tried to deliver at 07:09 this morning.

Despite me standing two feet away in the kitchen, I heard nothing and no card was left :S

They've really dropped the quality of their service recently with missing parcels, dodgy tracking numbers etc.

Annnnd they want £18.00 for customs charges. LOL.

ouch.. £18 charges to cover what?

Must be. Thought they'd cover that with the $25 shipping I had to pay but I don't really get the import stuff anyway.

You pay VAT on everything, including shipping. The VAT is calculated by your countries respective VAT rates. You also pay import fees which I believe depends on the courier and package.

It's the handling fee that makes me mad. Fed Ex are the worst, it's about £40 !

I ordered my ex wife a tank top from Wheels & Dollbaby (hideously expensive Australian designer). Any way it was about £40. Got to the door and the DHL driver demanded £28.

Fat smug pr*ck. I sent my ex out to deal with it because I just wanted to punch him in the face. £18 handling fee, ffs.

Not ordering from abroad again unless it's through Ebay and the fees are all up front and honest. Handling fee. Seriously? some fat knob picked it up and put it back down that's £18 please.

Quick question
Is it worth sticking purchasing 2 splitty 9 to go with my aquearo 6xt so I keep the component all the same manufacturer or would anyone surgest another option for a fan splitter hub ie xspc / phanteks ect that will work as well or better
