Antivirus Software

Just creating another poll. This time it's about what antivirus software do you use? I personally use BitDefender because it's reasonably cheap, effective and runs in the background with out slowing down my computer *cough* Norton *cough*.

Anyway I'm just curious on what software you guys use.

I'm using McAfee as I have it for free, other than that Avast is quite good one.

Norton - well.... it is rubbish IMO.

I use Avast, has worked pretty well for me. Have been using it I think 3 years now and have not gotten a virus.

you have not got NOD32 in the list - it is the best out there IMO

I'd say if your gonna pay for one get Eset/Nod32. Its the best out there (well was)

but nowadays microsoft essentials or avast are pretty much just as good and even run better. they have all become massive hogs.

i install microsoft essentials on all of my machines and relatives now.

im also a reseller for superantispyware meaning i got myself a copy professional free - its great

I use Microsoft security essentials. It seems to catch things that Avast! missed. Also use Malwarebytes every so often. I stick to free lol

I've never heard of NOD32 xD which was why I didn't add it to the list, but it's something I should take a look at from the looks of it.

MSE does the job nicely for me as I dont download or visit sites that would contain viruses.

Currently using Kaspersky but will probably change to NOD32 when I need to buy again. Heard many good things about it on here and the local Tech Support I have discovered use it as well.

this, i dont go on dodgy porn sites and click every link i see on the internet anymore and havent ran any av or fw software in about 4 years at least, i have had 1 virus but that came from a pendrive of a mates and he uses avast.

nod32 was the best but imo it went downhill from 3.0.

i put comodo internet security suite on pc for people who need it, another freebie that should be on the list

I use AVG, my only gripe with it is it has some issues with some of my games. nothing major but is annoying in the rare occasions that it does.
