Doesn't look too bad, but not very innovative...

These days - having that many fixed HDD bays is unacceptable, we want more flexibility in our chassis...

Agreed, depending on the price it could be a nice chassis (I'd say £60 ish?) but even for that price you can get some nice cases with cable management, USB3, removable HDD cages and radiator support nowadays.

I guess the whole Antec being "the global leader in high-performance computer components and accessories" (as stated in the OP) does not really apply anymore now. There is a *lot* of competition out there.

But we'll see, if this case gets a nice price, it might be worth it to do some client builds in or something :)

Ermmm your comments are strange. This also has usb3.0 cable management and rad support. Price is about 70 to 75 quid

I know, but if I could personally choose between £75 for this, or £80 for a Fractal Define R4, which does have removable HDD cages and a window option (and even choice of colour). It wouldn't be a very difficult decision for me.

Personally being the keyword here I guess. :)

It looks that they've got some inspiration from Fractal, and since I love Fractal, I don't mind that at all. Looks nice and sleek.

The 3.5" rack doesn't look removable, though. :I

Dude, Antec were first and Fractal actually took a lot of ideas from the Antec P180 (I still have one) - which inspired the Define series.
The exterior design of P180 is very similar, but interior is way different from Fractal.

This new one I wouldn't have questioned it if they marketed it as a Fractal case.

But then again computers being as standardised as they are, it isn't easy to innovate and many manufacturers produce similar products.

With the HDD racks fixed you can still fit the AMD 7990 which is the longest GPU ever made.

I really don't see the need for removable HDD cages on this case. The case supports the longest GFX cards ever made (AMD 7990) with the cage installed? So what benefit would come from removing the front HDD cage?

Its not a question of why, its a question of why not!
