And now for something a bit different

Hi

Recently dipped my toe in the overclocking world and got my primary rig slightly overclocked. Most of the time it spends its time as a Hackintosh, replacing my older Mac Pro. I know its only 4.1 ghz @ 1.13 volts. I will work on getting a full rig profile and upping the overclock a bit when I have time to fiddle.

I find it very amusing that osX Mavericks recognizes the overclock when sometimes certain windows 7 things just report it as a stock cpu. Of course cpu-z gets it right.

I would love to know why Windows does that, Not really important but it just bugs me ^_^

Its really basic over clock. Only things changed are the multiplier and voltages and turning the Load Line compensation up. Also Turbo mode turned off.

I am just following the very basics as outlined in Tom's video. Since I had only air cooler before getting the 250D and H100i in the last couple of months, I had left it stock. Now trying to learn how to over clock, but don't have a whole day to sit there and fiddle to get higher speed right now.
