AMD Teases new FX CPU

Yeah but in that article is this paragraph :

I very much hope that it's something actually new but knowing AMD's track history of disappointment I'm not giving them the benefit of the doubt this time like I have every other time only to be kicked in the nuts. If this turns out to only be a 9590 with essentially a H80 then Roy Taylor needs to be drug out in the street and horse whipped.
totally agree with that last bit =00=

I honestly doubt it's another FX-9000 series CPU. I just don't see them getting the clocks higher than 5GHz on the FX-9590; there wouldn't be much point in releasing something similar. As a result I'm inclined to think it's something new.

Is it the much vaunted Steamroller FX? Or are there new motherboards coming or something?

Nonetheless, as an AMD guy it's nice to have something to be excited about again. :p

I don't get you. You buy their crappy CPU's but neglect their awesome GPUs? :P #ZootLogic

Im with him. Always preferred AMD CPU's AMD always preferred Nvidia GPU's. Well let me qualify that a little more, it's not so much Nvidia that I prefer, it's EVGA that I prefer. I'd rather have their stuff because I've had great luck with their build quality, design, customer service and overclocking. And just like AMD vs Intel, there isn't really any difference in real world gaming performance. ;)

**edit**

Guess it's all but official now. It's just a 9590 with an Asetek AIO cooler.

Well I guess I could post a response, but your post is pretty trollish and adds zero value to the thread so I won't in the interest of a thread derail. ;)

I'm still not convinced. Not to mention, they're all linking back to that original Hardware Canucks article. And as mentioned earlier there was already a bundle with the 9590 to include an AIO.

AMD should know better to build some excitement like this and then completely disappoint, but their track record isn't exactly impeccable lately. :(

Hmm, 8370. What could that be but a higher binned 8350 which would essentially be a 9590 right? I don't know but I'm still not sure about it. Hopefully they've tweaked some of the architecture to offer something a little more different but I don't know what they could do.

AMD haven't tweaked anything it's a simple re-release of the already available 9590 only this time they stuck a AIO in the box. But wait... didn't they already offer the 9590 with a AIO cooler as an option before... I think so.

So really what is this.. it's nothing new just AMDs kooky marketing strategy.

Love of ice cream please don't be just a rerelease, :( AMD I gots faith in yo, i just dont want dissapointed

10/12 Core FX chip to take on 4790k/4930K? :D. Something to pair with the 295X2? that'd totes rock.

Pair with the two to melt PSU's of course :').

It's just a simple re-release of the 9590 but now they are including a water cooler with it.

Nothing new at all sadly.
