Am i doing something wrong?

I am a total noob at F@H, But i've read somewhere that a 2600k should get about 20k PPD but i'm only getting about 10K. So am i doing something wrong? I'm using the V7 and chosen to use all cores. So is there anything more that i should do?

And my two GPUs are just working about 40-45% when i use both and 85-90% when i only use one of them (5770s). So is there anyting extra i should do there alswell? And Yes i am a total noob at this.

And i'm curently running F@H on my main Gaming rig and on the Overkill HTPC(athlon x4 and 5770).

And sorry for my bad english, Norwegian.

GPU folding does reduce the PPD of CPU folding, for example when I fold with just my CPU, it can churn out around 28000 PPD, but then if I turn the GPU client on, the CPU PPD goes down to around 20000. Your GPUs should be at 100% load when they fold. If the V7 client isn't working for you, follow TTLs folding article and use the V6 client, you may have better results. I've not been able to get the V7 client working at all under Windoze, only Linux, so I'm fairly sure that the GPUs not being at full load has something to do with the V7 client having some teething problems.

Also your results could be low because you might be folding without any bonuses, but the results to which you are comparing them to could be bigadv folding. If you haven't already done so get a passkey and put the -bigadv flags in the client settings (2600k's will get a healthy bonus), and you should get some more points.

Have you oc'd your 2600k? If not, I'd recommend that you do.

Congratulations on taking the plunge into F@H, you'll find it'll become strangely addictive.

The only thing that i could suggest is if you are using windows 7 change your power efficiency to max performance. windows sets it on power saving that doesn't use all the performance and saves energy. hope this helped.

Try folding without the 5770 and check your PPD then. Also there are some WU's that are really bad and can cause a massive drop in PPD.

That will do about nothing.

I failed at turning the GPU's on overnight and my CPU gave me 17-18k PPD, And yes my 2600k is at 4,5Ghz 1,35Vcore.

And i think the problem of my GPUs is Crossifre? IS there something about the -adv thing i should do?

EDIT: I think i've narowed down the problem with the GPU's, because AMD GPU's has 3 diffrent clocks idle(lowest 157Mhz), 2D(middle 400Mhz) and 3D(highest 915mhz). And the 1. GPU only clocks in 2D mode with means under halv the clock speed of the 2.GPU witch explains why the 1. GPU goes 100% load and the second only goes about 40-50% load.

So is there any way that i can force the 1. GPU to go into 3D clocks?
