Just hope i have enough acetone

Here is a few pics and a vid from today.

Every thing went well for my first time using Dry ice.

Unfortunatly the MB Let me and my m8 down big time Dispite having a 700MHz FSB it just would not hold stable anything above 500MHZ, after a scout about on the net it seems as though this was the maximum for the DFI Infinity Dark. But with a noctua I was only able to get 3.8 out of the E6600 CPU, And that was not stable either.

But we where able to run benchmarks at 4GHz And then when we went for gold. And stoped running the benchmarks we got the E6600 Up to 4510.22MHz Just got the validation file But unfortunatly the Computer froze Before I could get a screen shot so no HWBot upload for CPU OC.

However the 3dmark 2001 Score I got Put me into the Overclockers league, And of course earned some more points for the OC3D Bench team.

Definatly loved the whole experience, And I am on the Look out for a PQ5 Dulux As they are supposed to be the best to OC on S775.

Only problem is now Is that I have 6Kg's of Dry ice left lol. So if anyone is in the Hampshire Area and fancys some dry ice PM me lol other wise We will use it to produce fog at our old school land party on Saterday

Any way a few pics.

HW monitor Screenshot.

No matter what we did the CPU core temp did not change from 5c im putting this down to the actual software. The bios also cant display minus figures so it was showing the CPU temp at 87C had us worried for a wile untill i booted into windows and checked HWmonitor.

Special Thanks to Rasmus

Who sorted me out with the dry ice pot and some advice.

He supplied everything I needed with the pot. including a temprature probe, Unfortunatly my temprature guage hadent arrived in time so was unable to use it.

Definatly loved the whole experience, And I am on the Look out for a PQ5 Dulux As they are supposed to be the best to OC on S775.

If i remember right the Biostar tpower p45 board is meant to be pretty damn good for fsb aswell, and the Giga EP45T i think it is so might be worth looking into them aswell.

EDIT: also the Rampage extreme i think it was but im guessing they would be fairly pricey still due to being a rampage board...

I would love to try something like this. I mentioned it once to some of my "geekier" friends and they looked at me like I was crazy.

Looks like you had a great time m8

And im glad to here that you like the pot.

Best motherboards for LGA775 overclocking is Biostar Tpower I45, Rampage Extreme (X48), DFI Lanparty P45 some of them did 700 MHz fsb and gigabyte EP45T extreme.

I use a Biostar Tpower I45 and it is great for overclocking. But the only problem is that you have to find some insanly good DDR2 ram to reach 600+ mhz fsb and it's bloody hard to find the good ddr2 rams now.

I managed to borrow a set of rare Corsair DDR2 ram called fat boys why i don't know but 1250+ MHz with CL4 timmings is not something you see every day

i have the 1066mhz dominator best i could fined on the bay of e. been looking for the tpower but cant fined it anywhere. same as the ep45t. i suppose if they are that good at overcloking people wont want to sell them lol.

The EP45T Extreme is the easy one to find.

Biostar Tpower I45 i rare to find because they had a bad habit of dying.

I manage to find two Tpower I45 boards and one of them did die after a bench session.

And if you find a Rampage Extreme board at a low price when buy it!

Even the bad ones did 550+ MHz fsb.

I have only bench a few times on the newer P5Q Deluxe motherboards and i hate them. 500 MHz fsb is easy enough on them but anything higher then that is a real challenge.

Edit:

This might be worth a look.
