Airsoft Thread

Oooh boy didn't know there was an airsoft related thread here!!
I'm quite the serious airsofter myself tbh. Got quite the arsenal by now (it might just be a tiny addiction, but don't tell anyone), a 'bit' of a gearwhore, and captain of a belgian airsoft team :D
For me personally it's all about realism and doing it as close to the real deal as it can get. Our team consist purely out of active military personnel, and we like to implement what we know during games. I'm far from an infantry guy (I work IT.. ^^), so it's nice to be able to go all out when airsofting. Might get a few pics up tomorrow.

Well that sounds cool dude... going with active militay guys, which show you real tactics and stuff I imagine?...

Yeah and also having good situational awareness and tactical insight, knowing where to move and how to do it etc. It's real fun when we go to a skirm with the team. There's just this.. How should I put it.. Smoothness in our play style compared to less experienced airsofters. We'd much rather take the initiative than getting pinned down. We also have clear comms with eachother all the time so we know who's doing what :)

That sounds absolutely awesome dude! :D

Haha  Yeah well I do know many people see airsoft as some childish game where grown ups go dress up like wannabe soldiers and go shoot at each other, but we all have our own hobbies don't we. In fact it's a load of fun when you get together with a bunch of friends and play as a team.

Here's a pic of some team members at one of our last events. I'm the one on the top left:

NOTE: our faces are blurred because we are all still in active service. And since we use the Belgian camouflage pattern, we want to clearly keep work and airsoft separated.

Some of my favourite replicas:
