Ok so.. I want to sell my custom built computer. Reason for selling is I wanna build another one! How do i go about it???

CM Stacker 830

P35 Plat.

E8200 w/ Dtek fuzion

BFG 8800GT OC2 w/ EK Waterblock

2x2gb Corsair Memory PC2-6400

OCZ Stealexstream 600watt

10x 120mm fans

Black Ice Stealth 120.3 rad

Laing DDC Pro pump or something...

Some old sound card.

WD Raptor 74gb

WD 3200AAKS 320gb

Then all tubing etc and coolant.

So erm.. basically.. how would I go about selling this??? Would I have to advertise on forums like these or would ebay be ok you think??

Price of all the parts new comes out at £1060 ish. Obviously im not gonna charge that much for 2nd hand stuff but do I put a price on my own work??

So erm yeh basically I got no idea what im doing :D

Thankss!

I'd personally try locally first as you would get closer to your asking price - plus you can show it off before purchase, also without the hassle of postage.

If that fails try on here, then perhaps see if you can get enough interest for individual pricing, if not then id do ebay as a last resort

ebay to me = loss of money, pita support, pita buyers/sellers and then theres payment...

:D gl

Look through the parts on PC pricing sites for example Scan and get an estimate value.. and think about how much you would pay for it yourself if you were the buyer. If you are unsure of pricing, be open to offers and pick whichever suits your fancy.

Good luck to selling it on here though, our friend darkone has caused alot of uproar.

Best of luck. :)

EDIT - IMHO, eBay would always be my last resort.

Ok guys, thanks for the response.

Parts total like £1k but tbh I personally wdnt pay that much as its the water stuff and case that costs a ton!

So I think I might have to sell some individually, will try locally though, thanks :)

Hey, if I get to sell it though, ill be sure to post my next build up. A nice orange/red/yellow amd/ati build :D

Yeh planned it out already lmao... price I was thinking is £900ish simply because I need about £850 for the new one. So im not really being picky about it.

DAAMIT FTW! I'm gonna be grabbing myself a HD48xx soon as I get my first paycheck in summer! Can't say the same for the CPUs atm tbh but they way they are pricing their cards :D

GL with the sale, make sure you take a few offers to get the best price.

Got any pictures?

Basically b4 I try to sell im gonna see 2 things.

1. If I can get my old Q6600 working on this mobo again, couldn't before.

2. How well the 4870's perform, since my board is a P35 and supports crossfire :D x4 slot doesn't seem to do much harm to it :)

If I can get the Q6600 working that'll go to 3.6ghz easy has been close to it before and that was on an nvidia board!! Excellent for me since Supcom is my fav game and this E8200 at 3ghz atm just aint powerful enough.....

And if the 4870s perform well enough then I will most likely stay with this setup and simply buy one of those. A new resevoir since mine is big and horrible, might change the rad from a 120.3 to a 120.2 as I wont be watercooling GPUs in the future, just the CPU, and some transparent pipe for it all :D

If not then I'll this whole unit and do a whole new build. 790fx, 9850be, 4870crossifre, etc etc, lovely :D
