Evocative use of aircraft style fuel fillers found on exotic sportscars. Designed and Machined by Mnpctech in 6061 billet aluminum.

Product comes with a polished, near mirror like finish.

1/4" THICK ALUMINUM

6-3/4" OUTTER DIAMETER

5" OPENING

This will be used to make a blowhole in the bottom front of the Lian Li V2100B case to allow air to be vented freely to the HDDs at the bottom of the case.

unfortunatly coolercases didn't have any in stock nor would they be getting any in due to the fact that mnpctech weren't manufacturing them anymore, so i found a source in australia to ship one to me (they had 3 in stock).

The plan atm has been slightly altered by the arrival of the X48 boards and DDR3.

As soon as i get more information from OC3D reviews and website prices, i'll be updating the work log to show the updated system parts.

However, to save money on the initial build, I have forsaken the external HDDs and the RAID 1 array. This saved me approximatly £300 or so.

January 23:

Purchased Mnpctech 120mm Blowhole Kit

1 x 120mm Blowhole Kit: Satin Finish (MNPC120BHK) = $68.64

Australia Post (International Parcel Post - AIR (10

day(s) (Estimated Delivery Time)): $17.50

Total: $86.14 (Australian Dollars btw)

January 24 (early morning (midnight or so)):

However, they had this to say when i asked on the approximate ETA:

Hi,

we are not sure, they were orginally due for release on the 21st but they were delayed for around 3 weeks, so they could be 3 weeks away still.

regards

Pictures will be forthcoming as soon as Project: Leviathan gets underway and all the parts are ordered and have arrived.

:o Over 3.5 TBs!!

Will read the rest of the post now!

edit: Ahhh ok you've decided against a few of them now... Still a decent amount going in though. Shame about the wait on the proccy though.

aye, but it allows me to save some more lol

and i didn't decide against the HDDs.......merely waiting until i can afford em :P

thing is, the NAS will actually be used for my father mainly, so he can access his stuff from work. And i'll put the odd file in there so my m8s can access certain files (much like an ftp server).

I'm rather anal about backup and redudancy, but i'll see how it goes...I might get rid of a coupla things (like RAID 1 on the movies + games etc). I'd only be saving myself about £150-200 so it might not even be worthwhile messin around.

Now....As I am thinking of putting the Radiator on the top of the case, I need(ed) to get rid of a certain.......erm......modification i've made.

This modification, however good (and at the time, and poorly planned out), it MIGHT have been for the purposes it served, has now caused me some major hindrance to my plan of putting a rad on top...

see in this picture how it's erm......"slightly wonky":

IMG_8548.jpg

This is what I plan to do:

Cut the top of the case like so:

IMG_8545.jpg

and basically replace that with some black opaque acrylic and then mount the rad onto the acrylic. As the acrylic is approximatly 3mm thick, there should be no problems with the weight of the rad for the surface area it will be using.

If anyone has any views, feel free to share em.

Btw, happy Valentine's Day ppl.

the master of butchery appears. looks interesting and will do until you do the new top. Should look good man....cant wait ;)

right then - an update........finally!:
