A Worthwhile Move?

Well, my file server feels sluggish, so that can only mean one thing, upgrade time! Sadly, I am rather poor these days, so I set myself a limit of £200.

Currently I have:

Athlon 64 5000+ AM2

ASUS 570a Motherboard

2Gb GeIL 4-4-3-5 800Mhz RAM

PowerColor HD4670

I was talking to my flatmate, who has offered about $160 to take it off my hands (but the CPU will only be a 4200+, as my Mums Media PC can get the 5000+). With the £160 and maybe £40 of my own I will get me an upgrade, and I was recently VERY tempted by the price of DDR3, AMDs new Phenom X2s, and a 790GX. Power is now a small issue, as I have discovered leccy aint cheap, so onboard graphics will do considering Red October does anything graphically intensive, all this PC needs to do is VM, file grab, music/video and general PC apps.

Is this the best option for £200 which will cut on leccy, not cost an arm and a leg, and give a noticable speed boost on non-GPU apps?
