a good webcam and microphone for youtube

hi guys my 13 year old niece has been uploading videos on youtube and the sound and video quality is very poor and i was thinking of picking her up a webcam and microphone for her bedroom

I don't know anything about this stuff any help would be awesome!!

If you want a really good mic, you're going to have to look into condenser microphones like the Blue Snowball/ Yeti or the Samson C01. They cost quite a bit though.

It would be nice if we knew what kind of price range you're looking at?

not a webcam guru but the logitech ones are pretty nice. i personally have a logitech c310 which is 720p and the mic is better than most headsets( on skype atleast). and on the plus side its pretty cheap, about £30 here.

just watched a youtube video with the c310 and thought it was really good, and then founf it on ebay for £24..... i'll grab that for her.

anything around £40-£50 will be decent...decent tech can be expensive when and if your niece continues making the videos and is getting popular etc it may be worth just upgrading to an individual camera and mic set up...again expensive camera, mic, tripod etc...depends how far she wants to take it...
