7950GX2 & Water

I notice that the 7950GX2 can take a magical waterblock which cools both cores, however this comes with a steep price tag.

What kind of results are people getting with these blocks?

Will these blocks be compatible with any future cards, or are they going to be redundant soon?

I'm using the Aqua GFX blocks on my 7950 which are just great. I havent overclocked my card however as this is running on my mission critical system and I just havent played yet, but temps are pretty reasonable I would say, in the 40's idle. (the cards tend to run hotter than the 7900's).

As for redundancy I'm not 100% the G80's will feature a new reference design. If they do then then I'm sure in due course you will see price reductions.

Been useing the innovatek Block impressed with the temps as have got the core volt's up to 1.55 Y theres such a difference between the two cores i dont know but a better pump may cure this but even under load the tmps only go up to low 40's (BTW run this set up 24/7)

Nice stuff :)

Just noticed that your 12V rail is sitting at 9.24V! :O

(The negs seem off as well)

What PSU is that with? That surely can't be accurate?!

yes i see that too i think it must be everest(965chiset) because in speedfan it looks ok.The psu is a Turbo-Cool 1KW Quad SLI.

Wow, thath are some great result Mr Dizzy.

I use the Danger Den waterblock for my 7950 card, i am very happy whith it and offcourse it is bought from EP UK.

This block are pretty easy to assemble and it does perform very good.

Here are som pictures of the block

Here are some results, there are no tweaks, voltmodd etc on these results.

As you can se the temp is 25 degres idle, and its around 28-32 degres during load.
