Funny that i accidentally said i was on 3.3V on air.. or anything for that matter.

I ran at 2.8V on my GTX with no cooling - got to 1550mhz. :B

2.6V was the highest I benched at I think. I did actually take it up to 2.8V to see if I could get some more mhz tho.

Actually whats the highest clocks WR for a 7800gt?

OT: Whats that OC program not rivatuner that will alow you to go without testing the clocks?

I would mod it to see how far it'd go with volt mods, but I'm going back to a 6800U AGP 8), until some better hardware is released...

I did find that going above 2.55V never achieved much, so that's what I consider the sweet spot for the BGA memory.

GTX's are normally 1200 and above at stock right?

Correct - It's not unusual for GTXs to go over 1400 with no mods. As for clocking programs I think you can disable stability tests in rivatuner and in coolbits - just search the forums for how.

I thought that the GTX had the same memory as the GT, just the GT has less pipes? I find it odd that nVIDIA would choose different memory, but I suppose they did with the later cut down versions of the 6800...

I find sometimes that even though the card passes the stability test, it's not actually fully stable under load. You'll probably find artifacts in the benches/ games.

It would be nice. Although i cant get one get the moment, and with all the new hardware soon coming itll be block swapping 24/7.

I do however need soem help. with nvflash, ive got a modded bios prepared, a origional incase the modded fails, and a DOS formatted floppy at the ready. All i can figure out, it where exaclty to put nvflash and the other BIOS's on the disk? Can anyone help?

First format it as a startup disk.

Next extact and copy nvflash.exe onto the floppy. Another file comes with it if I remember right, if one does, copy that too

Then leave the disk in and adjust the BIOS to BOOT from floppy, if it doesn't already.

It will load up, then type what ever command you are looking for, a good one to use if you are confident the BIOS is correct is:

a:/'nvflash -4 -5 -6 bios.rom'

I'd check that though, as I'm just going off the top

IIRC, when I was flashing my card, nvflash BIOSNAME.rom did the trick?

I think.

make sure the original BIOS is on the same floppy, and you KNOW the name of it, just in case
